Painting Contractor & Interior Finishes in Hampton, VA
Painting, flooring and the finishing work that makes a remodeled room feel complete.

Finishes Are What You See and Touch Every Day
Finishes are the surfaces of a house: the paint color on the walls, the floor under your feet, the tile in a shower and the trim that frames every doorway. They get the attention, but they are also the most dependent on what is underneath. Paint on a poorly prepared wall peels; a floor over an uneven subfloor squeaks; tile on a wet substrate lets go.
In Hampton Roads, humidity adds another challenge. Interior finishes must tolerate moist summers and the changes in temperature between air-conditioned rooms and a hot porch. We choose materials and methods with that in mind, from mildew-resistant paint in bathrooms to vinyl plank in kitchens and entries.
This category covers painting and flooring as separate services, and flooring installation as a distinct page for the process behind it. Together they cover most of what turns a construction site back into a home.

Why 757 Contracting for Interior Finishes
We are remodelers, so we repair the surfaces that finishes sit on. A painter or flooring installer who finds a problem often has to leave it; we can fix it before it shows up as a flaw in the finish.
Painting and flooring can be done on their own or as part of a larger remodel, with one contractor coordinating the sequence.
Interior Finishes FAQ
What are interior finishes?
They are the surfaces and details you see and touch: paint, flooring, tile, trim and hardware. Finishes are the last step of a remodel and the first thing guests notice, which is why prep underneath matters so much.
Should I paint before or after new flooring?
Usually the order is flooring installation first, then trim and final paint, with the floor protected. For some projects, ceilings and walls are painted before floors go in. We plan the sequence so neither trade damages the other.
Can you match existing paint or flooring?
We can match paint color from a sample and look for flooring that blends with what you have. Exact matches are not always possible for older materials, and we tell you if a match will be noticeable.
Do you handle the trim and baseboards too?
Yes. New or repaired trim and baseboards finish the edges of flooring and walls, and we paint them as part of the same job.
