Remodeling in Hampton, VA
Kitchens, bathrooms and whole-room remodels from a Hampton general contractor who works directly with homeowners.

Remodeling an Older Hampton Roads Home
Much of Hampton’s housing was built in the decades after World War II, and the rest of the region follows a similar pattern: Cape Cods, brick colonials, ranches and cottages with good bones and aging systems. Remodeling those homes is a balance between updating what you see and fixing what you do not: plumbing, wiring, subfloors and moisture damage.
That is why remodeling here is rarely only cosmetic. A kitchen remodel may start with new circuits and a leveled floor; a bathroom remodel starts with waterproofing; a staircase remodel starts with checking whether the stringers are sound. The finish you see in the end is the last 20 percent of the work.
This category brings together the projects where we change the house itself: kitchens, bathrooms, interior rooms and exterior elements. Each has its own page with what to expect, what drives the price and the questions homeowners ask.

Remodeling FAQ
What kinds of remodeling projects does 757 Contracting take?
We take kitchen and bathroom remodels, interior projects such as stairs, floors and rooms, and exterior projects including windows, sunrooms and trim. Each has its own page with the process and what affects the price.
Do I need plans or drawings before you can quote?
No. For most remodels, a walkthrough and a conversation about what you want is enough for a first quote. Larger projects such as additions or structural changes may need drawings, and we tell you when that is the case.
How do you handle surprises like rot or old wiring?
We tell you as soon as we find them, show you what we see and price the repair before going on. Older Hampton Roads homes often have hidden moisture damage or outdated wiring, so we recommend a small allowance in your budget for the unexpected.
Can you do a remodel in phases?
Yes. Many homeowners start with the bathroom or kitchen and add rooms later. We plan the first phase so that later work does not mean redoing it.
Who will I be dealing with during the project?
Owner Johnny Mora is your contact from the walkthrough to the final inspection. You do not have to go through a layer of managers to ask a question.
